After having visited New York many times before, it was time for something new. Williamsburg had been developing for years now and we were positively recommended to stay at the Wythe Hotel. The old factory has undergone a much appreciable re-lift, injected with a huge doze of contemporary- the old factory now accommodates many visitors in the 70 new beautiful rooms.
The high ceiling, never-ending space and the rustic brick walls are largely reminiscent of the industrial building, yet manages a cosy, relaxed vibe with homely furnishing and warm lighting. The bar and restaurant offer a delightful menu to choose from. The breakfast is worth waking-up for, where as the dinner- not as special. The rooms are very nicely brought together with careful attention to detail. Each room has an original spirit bar with plenty of unique whiskey to choose from. One of the main features of the hotel is the rooftop bar, which is massive, overlooking the stunning Manhattan skyline. Drinks start at 17.00 and go on till late through out the night. I do not recommend booking a room near the 6th floor, if you care for your nights sleep. The staffs are very friendly and up to date with the Williamsburg style.
All in all, an exclusive hotel in a creative and upcoming neighbourhood. Not short of good restaurants and shops in the area. Also, Manhattan being very close by is a nice plus. To conclude, I would say- best of both worlds!
