Favorite city: New York; because I studied for 2 years at NYU law school. Although I hardly had any money New York gave me the opportunity to discover the world. In the weekends I went to China (chinatown) or Italy (little Italy. It's such a great melting pot of culture and people with ambition that it stole my heart forever.
Favorite restaurant : Camillo Firenze, because it's the owner, the waiters, the wine and this incredible simple food made to perfection. They take simple white beans, week them 24 hours in water and then slowly cook them for one hour with salvia and garlic. Then they drain them, put some olive oil, parsley and fresh slices of botarga over it. This dish taste like it was made in heaven. Please also try the white truffle, the funghi porcini.
Favorite hotel: Hotel Costes in Paris. This because it's by far the most romantic hotel in the world. It has a beautiful terrace, a great swimming pool and delicious food. One night after I had dinner on the terrace a beautiful waitress asked me to go out to a club. We had such a romantic night & morning.
Favorite Recipe: The fried egg at Noma Copenhagen (my version): fry a fresh egg in some butter and add lots of herbs, cervil, dragon and chives (or ohter herbs). Top it off with a sauce of fresh parsley & add some white wine and olive oil. It will be the best fried egg you ever had.
Favorite Store: The Food store of Le Bon Marché in Paris. If you love food go there! They have 200 different types of butter and 68 different types of foie gras. The store really smells amazing.

Favorite City: New York. I used to live there. No other place in the world gives you this much
energy as New York. The variation of good restaurants, bars and entertainment is unique. You
live outside, because there is so much to do. My best memory was Bouillabaisse and Jazz on
Tuesday evenings in the East Village.
Favorite restaurant: Il Beccofino. Just outside Venice in a town called Mogliano Veneto. The very
passionate owner uses the freshest regional products. I had my first and best fresh funghi porcini
there. They only use the best parmigiano, olive oil and rocket to finish off the dish. Other dishes
also are out of this world. I would go back any day.
Favorite hotel: Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island, Australia. If you want a total
relaxed vacation with good food, nature and the beach. This is the place to be. They
have beautiful surroundings with the most comfortable rooms and amenities. You will
be served the best local cuisine. You can select your own wines from the cellar every
evening. www.southernoceanlodge.com.au
Favorite recipe: Grilled scallops and tagliatelle with spinach, mascarpone and truffle
Favorite store: Tresbienshop. This store has it all for me. Even though they are an online store
and quite expensive, I still prefer to buy from them then any other local store. They have all the
high quality, basic but unique products. They have a great way of presenting the products and
always aim for high quality service.

Favorite city: Recently I just moved to Berlin. Every other week I fly back to Amsterdam
for work. Although I have been only living there for 2 months, Berlin feels like my home. I
completely fell in love with this exciting city. The art and music scene is very big here. I think
everybody who lives and Berlin would say that it’s a very free and open-minded city. There is still
so much to discover so this would definitely be my favorite travel spot at the moment.
Favorite restaurant: Little Otik in Berlin. This hidden gem is my favorite restaurant. Their
menu changes every day and they only cook with local and biologic food. They specialize in
cooking wit vegetables. I really love their pickled veggies and almonds with chili and honey. The
surrounding is amazing too. The restaurant is quite small but and really basic but the wooden
tables just stand out in the room. Dimmed light and nice staff make it a really romantic place. Be
sure to reserve a table because they will be full very night.
Favorite Hotel; Kasbah Tamadot in Marocco. This is the hotel of Richard Branson, owner of
Vrigin records. This surely is the most beautiful and serene place I have ever been to. Situated in
the Atlas this hotel is on top of a mountain and looks over the valley. When I was there I stayed
in one of 8 the Berber tents. Each tent has it’s own private terrace and swimming pool. However
the best reason to stay in one of these tents is that you have the best view possible. At night you
can have your own private dinner at your terrace under the millions of bright stars.
Favorite recipe: A mousse of macrel eel and lemon on a bed of ginger bread topped of with
granny smith apple’s and caramelized sugar. This dish is very easy to make and is a true ‘show
stopper’ on all dinner party’s.
Favorite store: Tenue de Nimes in Amsterdam. This award winning denim inspired store is
owned by two very close friends of mine. They sell all sorts of amazing denim and Scandinavian
brands like Acne. The shop is beautiful. These boys just sell anything they like themselves, from
fragrant candles to magazines and books. The shop is famous for it’s collaborations. Every year
they team up with brands like converse and Grenson and create beautiful products together. We
also did a collaboration with them; a version of the Trash laptop bag with a Japanese chambray lining. Which is available in our webshop.

Favorite city: Madrid. A city that really amazed me with all it’s magic places and people. I’ve been here for only one day. This because of the strike of the Spanish air traffic controllers. I just walked around for 10 hours and loved it. There are tapas bars everywhere and nice little boutiques on every corner. In just one day it became my favorite city.
Favorite restaurant: A fish restaurant at the beach in La Barra, Uruguay. I have no idea what the name of that place was. But it was the best fish ever. All made on a big charcoal grill. Drank way to much wine and ate way too much seafood. With the perfect sunny weather and the view of the ocean with is lovely surf. I felt I was the happiest man alive.
Favorite Hotel: 3.14 in Cannes, because it is the most beautiful hotel I have ever slept in. But my all time favorite is the hippie Volkswagen T2 Westfalia camper of my parents. I spent all my summer vacations with this perfect old-school camper. Together with my parents, little brother, little sister and our dog we slept everywhere we could (room for 4 people max). When I had my drivers license I went with my girl to north Spain and had the best surf trip of my life.
Favorite recipe: Sashimi of Tuna with wasabi mayonnaise and chicken yakitori made from chicken thighs in a salad with red onion, pine tree nuts. Simple but the best ever. Especially the chicken thighs because they are so soft and mild. With some good sherry you can make the best yakitori sauce by yourself.
Favorite store: American Bookstore and Rush Hour. These are my to money eating stores. American Bookstore has a really big collection of books that goes from fashion, street art, photography and music and off course all the magazines you can imagine. Rush Hour is my favorite record store where I buy all my vinyl. Is you are looking for my student loan. You will find it in my living room, made of records and books.
